Tiffany Marie Ramirez and John Preston Calloway exchanged vows in a 4 p.m. ceremony on April 6 at The Confederate Home in Charleston, S.C. Pastor Greg Mason officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ramirez of Concord. She is a graduate of Hofstra University with a degree in psychology and music performance. She is employed at Wells Fargo in Charlotte as a personal banker.
The groom is the son of Richard and SueEllen Wimbish of Mount Airy, and the late Richard Calloway. The groom’s grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. John Canipe of Shelby and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Calloway of Asheville. He is a graduate of Western Carolina University with a degree in electronic music production and performance guitar. He is employed as a sound engineer at Norman Sound in Charlotte.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless sweetheart neckline gown with a crossover pleated bodice by Paloma Blanca. The silk Dupioni gown featured a full, double-box pleated skirt with side pockets and beading at the empire waist. The back featured a full-length train. She wore a jeweled hair comb that belonged to the groom’s sister and featured a crystal spray and a separate fingertip veil. Her bouquet featured large, white garden roses with accents of greenery by First Bloom of Charleston.
The matron of honor was Kathleen Saunders, sister of the groom, of Indian Trail. The bridesmaids were Lauren Puccia of Long Island, N.Y., and Kristin Ramirez, sister of the bride, of Concord. They wore gowns of navy blue silk by Alfred Sung, featuring a square back with a bow accent at the back waistline. They carried large bouquets of pink garden roses.
The ring bearer was Andrew Preston Saunders, nephew of the groom.
The best man was Andy Calloway, brother of the groom, of Miami, Fla. The groomsmen were Matthew Saunders of Indian Trail and J.C. Paulson of Atlanta, Ga.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Classical Charleston.
A reception was held at McCrady’s of Charleston with cocktails, dinner and dancing in the Gallery Room overlooking East Bay Street of Charleston.
A rehearsal dinner was held on April 5 at Magnolias of Charleston. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wimbish, parents of the groom, were the hosts.
The bridal party and family stayed in Charleston for the wedding weekend at the historic 1848 Joseph Aiken House.
The wedding photographs featured historic properties and architecture of the old South around the city of Charleston. The photographer was Charles Merry of Charlotte.
Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple resides in Charlotte.
