MOUNT AIRY Mrs. Sara Lynn Jolly Adams, 74, of 725 Maiden Lane, Mount Airy, wife of Mr. William Bill Adams Sr., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at her home. She was born Jan. 9, 1934, in Forsyth County to the late Virda Lee Morton Jolly and Sheridan Jolly. She was a graduate of Tate High School in Pensacola, Fla., and also a graduate of North Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1954 and was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Adams practiced nursing over the years until having to leave her job at Central Continuing Care to take care of her husband. Mrs. Adams was very much loved by her family and friends, never met a stranger, and always was there to lend a hand or a kind word of support. Surviving are two daughters, Sherrie Burgess of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Barbara Adams of Winston-Salem; a special family friend, Krystal Bryant of Winston-Salem; a son and daughter-in-law, William Bill Adams Jr. and Kay of Jacksonville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Sara Adams and Taylor Adams of Jacksonville, Ala., and Lauren Pearcey and Erin Burgess of Gulf Breeze; a sister, Joan Andrews of Jay, Fla.; Two special nieces Debbie and Renee; and a special dog, Goober. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Skyline Memory Gardens conducted by Krystal Bryant.
